RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

DESIGN EDITOR AND DESIGNER - THE HORIZON

August 2019 - Present

As the Design Editor for The Horizon I oversaw production of the bi-weekly tabloid campus newspaper. Additionally, I was in charge of a team of designers to ensure production of the paper on deadline, accuracy of information, and up to quality standards. Collaboration with the whole Horizon staff was key within my role. Not only this, but I also collaborated with advertisers for completion of ads. I created covers and layouts, following brand guidelines while ensuring readability and a cohesive design across all pages. Myself and my team won several ICPA awards in our division for our designs.

GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN - TODAY'S MEDIA

April 2019 - January 2020

As the graphic design intern for Today's Media now, I was part of the creative team, which was responsible for the production of the company's three magazines and online publications. In collaboration with the creative team, I attended weekly meetings and brainstorming sessions for upcoming issues. During my time, I designed magazine spreads for Today's Media magazines and reoccurring features. I also created both digital and print advertising which was featured on their website and in found in print issues. In addition, I drafted and scheduled monthly posts on the Today's Woman and Today's Transition's Wordpress websites and managed digital advertisements. Furthermore, I interviewed and composed editorial pieces based off self-conducted interviews and other interview documents, strengthening my copy writing skills.
